4. A Country Kitchen Upgrade

This kitchen refresh is a testament to how thoughtful upgrades—rather than a full gut—can dramatically improve the way a home feels and functions. The homeowners loved the heart of their home, but the original layout, dated appliances, and mismatched finishes were creating daily frustrations and limiting how they cooked, gathered, and moved through the space.

Our team reimagined the kitchen with intentional changes that delivered maximum impact. Bright, efficient lighting now eliminates the dim, shadowed feeling of the old room. New switches and outlets finally support the family’s routines instead of slowing them down. Upgraded appliances—including a new cooktop, double oven, and microwave—bring modern convenience to everyday meals and hosting.

We added a custom wood range hood with proper ventilation, replaced the worn sink with a deep farmhouse model, and tied the main level together with custom shiplap and warm hickory trim.

One of the most transformative changes was relocating the refrigerator, which opened up the walkway and created room for a designated coffee bar—a new favorite part of the home. We also widened the doorway to the dining room to create an easy, connected flow between spaces.

With new countertops, backsplash, and a handcrafted island featuring a live-edge wood top, the kitchen now feels brighter, more open, and beautifully intentional.
